Gerald Silverboard has been a registered member of the Copyist Program at the National Gallery of Art for a couple of years and a member of The Master Art Copyists. In addition to his work as a practicing pediatric and adult neurologist in Atlanta, Georgia, he is a dedicated amateur figurative artist and sculptor. Over the years, he had the privilege of attending workshops led by artists such as Steven Assael, Mary Whyte, Robert Liberace, David Kassan, Kevin Chambers, and Marc Chatov. This has allowed him to pursue his passion for both clinical neuroscience and art.
He is particularly inspired by the works of Rembrandt, Hals, Jacques-Louis David, the Impressionists, Andrew Wyeth, Sargent, Whistler, and Sorolla. He is a member of the Portrait Society of Atlanta and the American Impressionist Society.
